Oh, this summer has been so good to me: I have lost count of how many wonderful places I have seen and how many wonderful people I have met! That day I visited another island where I had never been before: just a 20-minute ferry ride from Helsinki, Pihlajasaari is a gem with gorgeous sea views and vegetation. Maria, Riim and I took a late afternoon ferry ready to have a little picnic and a photowalk in the beautiful evening light. Everything was perfect and I am so happy with the way the photographs turned out!

Among the people I got to meet this summer, Lauri is one of my favourites: you should definitely check out his photographs here! That day he took me and my dear friend Miia to Kallahdenniemi — a lovely beach in the Eastern side of Helsinki. Despite the cloudy sky, the weather was quite warm and we could enjoy a little picnic of cherries and delicious cinnamon buns — which Lauri baked especially for us! The overcast sky was very dramatic and proved to be an excellent backdrop for photos. None of my friends was that keen to be in front of my camera, but I managed to convince Lauri to pose for a couple of shots. We also found a field full of colourful maitohorsma (fireweed) — which has become one of my favourite flowers this summer. Oh, what a wonderful day it was!

Kuusiluoto did it again! I have spent yet another magical evening in the company of my best friend Miia and another talented soul called Maria. The three of us spent a few peaceful hours with our cameras, capturing the flowers and the sheep in the setting sun. Maria also posed for me and she asked me to pose for her. I was so honoured to be in front of her camera: she truly made me feel beautiful — make sure to check out her photos here! Oh and, I am also very happy with what I have captured: these images will always remind me of that wonderful evening!

My first time ever on Vallisaari — a wild little island in the Helsinki archipelago, that has been recently opened to the public — has been perfect! We took a late afternoon trip there with darling Heidi and spent a few hours taking photos among beautiful flowers, eating cinnamon buns and ice cream in the sun. I couldn't be happier with the way the photos turned out: everything felt like a dream and that resonates quite well in the pictures, don't you agree? It was so hard to pick just a few favourites to share! I have now added Vallisaari to the list of wonderful new places I have discovered this summer. My dear Helsinki, you are still so full of surprises even after 7 years!

These images will always remind me of a wonderful evening spent with two darling friends cooking on the fire by the lake: everything felt perfect that day! Once again it has been such a pleasure to take photographs of my darling Alina: we truly see eye to eye, she and I! The beautiful flower crown is of course a creation of Jacopo, who has been arranging field flowers harmoniously for three summers in a row.

Back to Kuusiluoto, which has since that first time became one of my favourite places in Helsinki. This time I took a photowalk with my dear friend Mandi & Katja, in the beautiful evening light. Summer rain had pour down only a couple of hours earlier, but in the evening the sky had cleared up and we could enjoy a magnificent sunset. I am extremely grateful to my friends for allowing me to capture some of their intimate moments during our walk around the island: Mandi & Katja are very much in love and will get married in September. The magic of Kuusiluoto and the love between these two wonderful girls make these photographs very special, don't you agree?
