recap of my Italian Holiday:

I do not know what to think about Lomography Redscale Negative 100 - but I still believe these photographs can be quite an interesting conclusion for my long series of posts dedicated to Italy!
The results are incredible, much like the ones you took in Iceland (if my memory serves me well). I'm not a fan of colour effects, but for some reason this redscale really works for me :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Inês! The other Redscale film I took was in Northern Lapland. I still have mixed feelings about these Redscale films, but I believe they're fascinating sometimes!
DeleteI think the camera hit it off particularly well with the film when you were up in the mountains.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Antonella! Like you though, I think I prefer the Redscale XR 50-200 to this one.
DeleteI love these! Such pictures are the reason I cannot let go of the Redscale! :) Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nancy! I'd like to see some of your Redscale shots. Where can I find them online?
DeleteI tried them only once but I definitely want to make other Redscales, although I was a bit disappointed by the result (quantity & quality)... But I can't help it, I love the atmosphere of redscale. And if one picture is good, it is very special with all this red, I think :)
DeleteHere are my tries: http://littlepinkcakes.blogspot.de/2013/07/the-redbird.html
Thank you for sharing these with me! I agree, the redscale has definitely a particular atmosphere to it!
DeleteThe snow and these redish tones go together really well. And why not to finish it in red, it's the flame that stays every time after visiting beautiful places and dear people;-) x
ReplyDeleteI suppose it is! Thank you so much!
DeleteI like these results of that film! Lovely oldfashioned touch!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sirpa! It is certainly a fascinating film, though not for every day I think.
DeleteI have mixed feelings with this film. I have used it and I have discovered I like the results depending on the laboratory that develops the film. Sadly those that turn too red don't turn out as good at these!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Barbara! It's not an easy film to develop and it doesn't turn out always the way the one's expecting it to.
DeleteUndoubtedly, a beautiful end to Italy Polly! this red scale is amazing. love all the contrasts. the mountains and the shot of your sister are simply amazing. you always bring me so much happiness with your beautiful photographs.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Diogo! I really like that shot of my sister too - it is possibly my favourite!
Deletei tried that film and wasn't happy about the results, so i'm not a fan. but your results here are waaay better ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Silvia! I'm glad you think so! I wouldn't certainly pick up a Redscale every day either... it's just nice to use it, once in a while.
Deletei love those shades of red!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI think it is good to have versions of all we see so i also love the redscale :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sara! I'm so glad you do!
Deletethese are beautiful, dear polly! i'm not much of a fan of these types of film but oh my! i think it works wonderful for the landscapes ♥
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear Toi! ♥ I know what you mean though, normal film is way better most of the time!
DeleteI think these are such wonderful levels of tones, probably because you used a really good camera along with it, very striking! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Katie! Sure, the Hasselblad is a very good camera and that helps a lot. Though I wouldn't mind trying it with my Nikon FM once, if I could find a 35mm Redscale.
Deletethere photographs are adorable!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christel! And thank you for stopping by Passer Domesticus!
