I am always a little melancholic when summer ends but this year September has been very kind so far: the weather has been sunny and quite warm for
Helsinki and
the first signs of autumn have barely started to appear around the city. the following photographs were taken
last week on a beautiful
late summer day during one of our walks outside town.
some photographs of the last days of summer:
Lomography Konstruktor DIY - Fuji Provia 100F
that day was probably the last for me to wear
my beloved straw hat: soon I am going to have to pack it away until next summer. thankfully I have plenty of wool hats to choose from instead but I will miss light clothes so much!
autumn is really coming: even
the swans are getting ready to leave Finland - that pair in the
first photograph was so beautiful I really had to capture them with my
Konstruktor! ♥
awww *-* <3 sei tenera!
ReplyDeleteAwww, grazie Emi! ♥
Delete:) Konstructor was a good friend for the last days of summer!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors again!
Here it so hot but the leaves are getting yellow and falling...I also feel nostalgic,i hate when the day get shorter,i'm a summer baby!
She was indeed, Sara! Thank you! I hope she will be my friend in the autumn time too.
DeleteI cannot imagine how hot it still is there - but it's good you get to hold onto the summer a little longer than here!
I feel the same way about feeling a bit melancholy, but these lovely photos are currently making me feel happy...
ReplyDelete:)
Thank you, dear Charlyn! I'm happy these photographs are having a soothing effect on you!
DeleteGreat colors with the Provia film! :) These are like sweet memories of summer, love your denim shirt blending in with the waters. And how awesome is that double exposure? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Katie! I really love Provia 100F now - it's been giving me such lovely results this summer! I'm super glad you like the double exposures - I wanted to experiment a little with the Konstruktor there.
DeleteThese are crazy, good, beautiful photographs.
ReplyDeleteAlexandria, thank you so much! I'm glad!
DeleteI'm almost on the verge of praying for autumn the come. The only visible signs here are the shorter days and the cooler nights, but it's so hot during the day that I can't stand it anymore.
ReplyDeleteThese are my favourite photos from your Konstructor series! The colours are beautiful :)
I guess I would be hoping for autumn to come too if I were in your shoes, Inês - I hope you'll get some cooler weather soon!
DeleteThank you so much! I'm glad you like this series!
I like the nostalgic feeling the colors and the soft focus give. The weather is usually quite good and warm in september in Paris but this year it has been dreadful, rainy and really cold. I already started wearing my wool sweaters ... It's nice to see some sun, eventhough it's through pictures !
ReplyDeleteTiphaine, thank you! I also really like the soft focus of the Konstruktor!
DeleteI hope the weather will soon change for the best in Paris - it's already a little bit rainy looking here instead.
It's so lovely to see you enjoying the Konstruktor and taking such beautiful, memorable pictures with it! I fell in love with the first photograph!! <3
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Kasia! You know, I think the first one is my favourite of this series too - those swans were just so beautiful, they were cleaning themselves and you can see some feathers floating on the water in the picture. ♥
Deleteim so in love with the tree picture!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Amanda dear! I like that one a lot too!
DeleteThe colours are awesome. The muted tones really make these pictures seem like nostalgic memories of a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteDear Evelyn, thank you so much! I'm so glad you think so - I am really pleased with the tones as well!

DeletePolly, these pictures are so simple but yet so comfortable... and I really like that feeling. as always, a beautiful moment I step to see your blog! I really liked the one that you photographed the nearest trees - I love trees :-)
ReplyDeletecheers and have a nice day!
Thank you! I'm so glad you think so! I also like the one with the trees especially - we have plenty of them in Finland, but I never get tired of taking photographs of them. Have a nice day too!
