the night we spent at our friends' place in
Tampere it snowed all over Finland and the day after everything was white and soft. that morning
Annika took us to
Pyynikin näkötorni:
a panoramic tower from the 1830's that stands on a hill above the city. from the top of the tower
the view was fantastic and the freshly fallen snow and a few rays of sunshine made everything even more special.
road trip to Tampere - part II:
Nikomat EL - Lomography Color Negative 400
at the bottom of
Pyynikin näkötorni there is
an old charming cafe famous for its
doughnuts - the most delicious in
Tampere according to someone. it was cold on top of the tower and a
munkki with a cup of
glögi were exactly what I needed: definitely the most delicious doughnut I have ever tried!
P.S. happy February! ♥
The toning and the lightning is just wonderful! This Nikomat seems to be a new friend ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nancy! Yes, she's been very nice so far!
DeleteOh, snow! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, finally it came to Finland as well... and it won't go away for a while, I'm afraid!
Deletethe view is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Niken! It was marvelous up there!
DeleteWhy don't i own a car of have friend that are into roadtrips? ahaha this comes to my mind a lot when i see your beautiful posts dear polly ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sara! We do not have a car either, but sometimes we rent one and get around. Is it expensive to rent cars in Portugal?
Deleteyes,so expensive and the price of the gas is ridiculous 0_o
DeleteI see, too bad! In Finland everything is so expensive, that renting a car is just another expensive thing to do. We cannot afford it every time, but some times we try!
Deletewinter wonderland! i agree with sara: i'd love to go on a roadtrip with you ♥
ReplyDelete(is glögi a sort of vin brulè?)
Thank you, Silvia! ♥ The first snowy days are always nice... then it starts to get a bit boring, especially in the city. Glögi is quite similar to vin brulè, but I drink a non-alcoholic version of it.
DeleteA beautiful roadtrip. That little chair amidst the tree is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Awono! That little red bench was really beautiful, all alone in the snow!
DeleteOhhh the snow! its lovely! I'm just catching up with your photos, these have such a great atmosphere to them.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you think so, Rhianne! Thank you!
DeleteLove the warm pops of colour in the first two photos. The tower is magnificent!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Inês! Yes, the tower was fabulous! If I lived in Tampere, I'd go there every second day.
