I wish we had more time to spend in the company of our friends in
Tampere but weekends are always too short - are they not?
on the way back to Helsinki we took a country road to admire
the copious amount of snow falling over the forest. the landscape looked so different than the day before: the temperature had dropped down and the lakes were frozen and completely covered in snow.
road trip to Tampere - part III:
Nikomat EL - Lomography Color Negative 400
I am sorry for that terrible stain on the upper part of the first picture: I must have wiped away some snow from my lens carelessly. I think it would be lovely to spend the winter in that
yellow wooden cottage by the forest! can you see
the snowflakes falling on the lake in the second photograph?
The little houses right in the middle of the wood with all of the amount of snow are gorgeous.
ReplyDeletemy favorite part is definitely the white lines on the profound dark color of the trees! always a blast to see your blog Polly :-)
Thank you so much, Diogo! I really like it when there's fresh snow on trees, but it doesn't remain on the branches for that long unfortunately.
DeleteI agree with Diogo, the combination of wooden houses and snow is just fairytale like, at least to me! :)
DeleteI'm glad you think so, Katie! Snow in the countryside looks more beautiful than in the city!
Deletesnow is a tricky gorgeous gift from heaven :-)
DeleteHaha, I suppose so!
DeleteOh the little flakes of snow are so special :) I sometimes wish it would snow in Lisbon, just for me to wander around with the camera in hand.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Inês! Snow can be very beautiful, but I have to say I get bored of it pretty easily these days. Snow in Lisbon would be quite special indeed!
DeleteLisbon isn't quite "designed" to welcome snow and I'm pretty sure I would be cursing like a sailor after 10 minutes, and yet it's good to dream of a perfect day like that :)
DeleteHaha, that's true enough! I remember Milano was completely lost after one day of snow!
DeleteThese photos are wonderful. Winter would be alot easier if I were in a cute little cottage!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shy! I agree; snow in the countryside looks more beautiful than in the city. The winter in the city is dull and grey most of the time.
DeleteIf the house has heating it would be a dream :)
ReplyDeleteyour pictures are so beautiful that i just noticed the stain because you mentioned it!
Dear Sara, thank you so much! I'm very sure that the little cottage must have heating - I believe that some lucky people live there all year around.
DeleteI agree.. it seems like a dream to spend winter in it :)
DeleteThe summer too, now that i think about it... every season is beautiful by the forest!
DeleteFantastic views as always. I love to see the world as you perceive it, dear. It's edgy, interesting and lovable.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Kasia! I'm really glad you think so!
DeleteAlways a pleasure traveling through your blog <3
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Barbara! ♥
Deletethat cottage is a dream! and i can see some snowflakes on the second picture... wonderful place, polly.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you think so, dear Silvia! Thank you!
DeleteThe light is so magical! Wonderful pictures!
ReplyDeleteIt's the snow that makes everything look brighter, otherwise it would be quite dark.
DeleteThank you, Nancy!
