it is already two months that
I have been working with Essi Vehkanen,
Kristiina Visakorpi and
Myriam Van Neste on an
installation piece for
Reclaimed Territories - an
exhibition that will be held in
Kumpula Botanic Garden starting from may. after weeks of brainstorming and proposals -
we have started realizing our piece:
PICNIC. I do not want to reveal too much about it yet - but I want to share some
documentation of our process: today it was
the first day of molding at the sculpture studio in
TAIK.
from the 1st day of molding:
✻ experiment: molding an apple.
PICNIC will require some
studio sessions and
more to be ready - but it is going to be worth it.
working with Essi, Myriam and Kristiina is both pleasant and interesting: the result will be great.
P.S. more posts about PICNIC to come in the next few weeks - stay tuned!
Wow
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to keep an eye on the processes instead of always focusing only on the results ;) you are a good documentator!
sure! the process is something that I have always considered important! :-)
DeleteI too really appreciate your explanation-documenting skills. I believe most of the time both artist and observer (art lover? spectator? viewer..? totally another topic..) tend to underestimate how important it is to show/explain : the first maybe wants to challenge the viewer or doesn't believe how curious the observer can be; the second one too many times doesn't ask himself what has been going on there before..or maybe I just have been thinking and talking about this too much lately :)
ReplyDeletestill, as always here, nice & accurate words together with your pictures, brava!
thank you so much for your words, Lucrezia! :-)
