winter walk with my diana mini #1.

it was a long time since I had taken out my Diana Mini: one very snowy morning last week I finally decided to bring her along for a winter walk around Helsinki. that special blurriness of the Diana and the grain of a Fuji Superia 1600 did the trick: I am very fond of what came out.
winter walk with my Diana Mini:

first batch of photographs.
that friday morning I wandered for over two hours despite the cold - walking from Tokoinranta to Kauppatori and passing through the Botanic Garden. when the cold got unbearable I eventually returned home - yet I was determined to go out again the day after to take more photographs.
photographs from that second winter walk with my Diana Mini to come soon!

  5. So cold... but, like in the other comments say, there's a dreamy quality that makes it amazing to see!
    I don't have a Diana, I didn't know it was square... (120?)

    1. thank you! it was very cold, but it was totally worth it! ;-) the regular Diana works with 120mm and it's in square format, if I recall correctly, though, mine is a Diana Mini and works with 35mm: with this camera you can choose between two formats: a square one and a portrait one, which is basically an average 35mm frame cut in a half.

    2. Yes! of course, the plastic frame... It's an interestin way of working with the square format. Thank you!

    3. isn't it? even though, I have always went for the classic square format so far, because I like it so much!
