iceland X.

on the 9th day of our journey we left the north behind and drove towards south west. unfortunately we didn't have enough time to visit the Westfjords and that is why that region is going to be the first one on our list next time we will be back to Iceland. it was our last day of traveling before driving to Reykjavík and eventually fly back home the morning after: we decided to visit the peninsula of Snæfellsnes and we were totally blown away by its variety of beautiful and colourful landscapes.
9th and last selection of my photographs from Iceland:

Nikon FM - Fuji X-tra 400, Kodak Ektar 100
Hasselblad 500 C/M - Fuji Pro 160NS, Fuji Pro 400H
I had never seen mountains with such colours and textures as I have seen in Snæfellsnes: I took very many and the last of my photographs there. that day my heart was heavy as I knew our joruney was coming to an end: I wasn't ready at all to leave Iceland and I wanted to take more and more photographs. we spent that night not far from Borgarnes in the beautiful Steindorsstadir Guesthouse: a farmhouse with the most friendly dog and a fantastic hot water tub - that obviously made us feel even more like we did not want to leave.

this is the last selection of photographs from Iceland that I have decided to share here and now I am struggling to find the right words to end this long series of posts. I hope you have enjoyed my photographs and that you will be waiting to see more of them on the coffee table book that I have been telling you about for many posts now. it will be a long and slow process as I really want to create something worthy of Iceland: this journey has certainly been one of the most intense experiences I have ever had! ♥♥♥

    1. Thank you! Yes, the guesthouse where we spent that night was a lovely place, but the little cottage in the last photograph is not the guesthouse - just a lonely house on the mountains that we encountered on our way. I hope my writing wasn't too confusing.

Good luck with your book! Will there now be something in addition to your gorgeous photos? You mentioned a possibility of some paintings or drawings.

We would like the book to contain some poetry or prose written by an Icelandic artist - that is why we are looking for collaboration with somebody that'd be interested in such a project.
