from the darkroom - part 1.

last week had been raining practically every day and when on Friday the sun finally came out Jacopo and I decided to go for an evening walk. the light of the sunset is particularly beautiful this time of the year! I took both my Hasselblad 500 C/M and my Nikon FM along: the first one with a black and white film and the second with a colour one. as on Monday morning it was raining again I took the chance to spend some time in my darkroom: it had been a lovely start of the week!
a few darkroom prints:

there is nothing more relaxing than spending a rainy morning in my darkroom! I am not really looking forward to the end of the summer but I already know that the darkroom will be the best place for me to shut away from the coldness of the winter.
I am going to shoot many more black and white films!

  3. I wish I had some darkroom techniques! Maybe I will aign up for a class one day. :) These are lovely (as always) but I had a special fondness for reflections in water.

the darkroom can be really relaxing, except when you're using the one at my college and suddenly everyone who didn't do the work during the semester shoves into the room at sunrise trying to have everything ready in time for the evaluation and it can get really stressing, with everyone rushing around and asking you for things and really noisy.
and i know this because i admit i'm one of those persons sometimes... - except for the noisy and annoying part. whops.
    anyhow!
lovely as always :-) when you enjoy what you're doing, how can it go wrong?

    1. Thank you, Catarina! That's true! Oh, and I have to agree about school's darkrooms being restless- I'm afraid it was the same for me when I was using the one in school in Milano. I'm glad I get to have my own equipment now, even though it was nice when the school took care of the chemicals!

    1. Oh, thank you so much Sirpa! I also think that Jacopo looks like an actor from an old film in that photo - it may be because of what is wearing and the pose.
