all around kaitalampi II.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are ready to start a new week! snow has not yet fallen over Helsinki but we have had some beautiful sunny days instead - just like the one we spent in Kaitalampi over a week ago. here is a second batch of photographs from that outing.
all around Kaitalampi - part II:
Nikon FM - Fuji Pro 400H
the first time Jacopo and I visited Kaitalampi was last summer on a very hot day: we did not walk all around the lake but simply stopped to have a picnic on the sunny side. last Sunday instead we wanted to follow the trail until the very end and it was a beautiful and surprisingly challenging hike. I took these photographs during the first part of our walk on the left side of the lake: this was the easiest bit of the trail and we could stop many times to enjoy the wonderful view.
to be continued!

    1. How beautiful! It's seems like it has been snowing all around Europe these days, yet no snow in Helsinki so far... hopefully next week?
I hope you'll get to visit Finland some day soon, I'm sure you'll like it!

  2. Does that mean you rolled down when you reached the left side of the lake? Just kidding! You really chose the right film, both for the location and the light.

    1. Hahaha, thankfully nothing like that has happened, Antonella. I'm going to tell about it later on... I got to keep this blog a little more mysterious.
I'm glad you think that the Fuji Pro 400H was the right choice - I have been using it a lot though and I'm starting to get bored with it.

  4. Big yay for the "to be continued" part! The sun is so beautifully pictured with the fuji pro 400H. I tried some expired ones on my trip in August and really liked the results better when the sun was shining :)

    1. Thank you, Inês! I've always liked this film, but lately I really feel like trying something new - I wish there was more choice of films in my local photography shop.

    1. Thank you so much, Evelyn! It's interesting to read you like the first picture so much - you're the second person telling me this. I actually like the second one more, which makes me think that I must have a very different vision of my own photography.

  8. I love it when it's supposed to be really cold but we get beautiful, breezy weather instead. That kind of light is the best, as reflected in your photographs. Looking forward to the next installment! :)

    1. I totally agree, Katie! That's the best kind of weather - I mean, it was very cold, but at the same time the sky was so clean and bright! It's usually this way here, whenever the temperatures are subzero. Instead, with warm temperatures, the sky is always overcast in autumn and winter.

  9. If this is the way the light was that day - wow - I can only imagine how… – it's also a bit of a time-travel-light, I think… but maybe that's just the moviebrainbit in me, heh ;) … And the water is so very black, I like that. Looking forward to part two!
