last Tuesday the sky turned so clear and the air felt so warm that I thought
spring might had already arrived in
Helsinki. unfortunately I was wrong: the rest of the week was grey and this morning it was even snowing a little. hoping that the wet snow will melt away completely and that the sun will come back soon - I am rejoicing by looking at the photographs I took on that wonderful day in
Uunisaari.
Uunisaari:
Nikomat EL - Efiniti UXi Super 200
Uunisaari was completely different from the way I left it only a few weeks ago: the sunshine had transformed it into an
extremely bright and joyful island. this time I was not the only one taking a stroll there: my favourite bench was occupied and did not look lonely any longer. I felt incredibly happy with the sunshine on my face.
I am very thankful for last Tuesday and these photographs!
the colour shades are gorgeous. glad that you got some sunshine
ReplyDeleteThank you, Niken! Even if it was only for a day, it was magnificent!
DeleteThe transformation is incredible. It's so cool to see how seasons constantly change the environment around us and challenge us to adapt year after year. The photos are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Inês! What I love the most about Finland is the changing of the seasons: it happens so fast here and it is so radical!
DeleteOh, wonderful! I can imagine how bright the sun must have been. The colours and shapes of the ice are beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ingeborg! The sun was beautiful and surpassingly warm... it felt like heaven!
DeleteThe 4th picture looks especially beautiful. Love the shapes and textures and different kinds of blue.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you think so, thank you! When melting, the ice on the sea takes on some interesting shapes.
