old finnish books.

I have been collecting a lot of old books from secondhand book shops in Helsinki - plus I have also been gifted with many by Jacopo and his finnish family.
I think it's a good time to share here some of the most beautiful pages I have chosen to scan from the bookshelf.
♡ ♡ ♡

✻ my first finnish book about birds.

✻ my finnish Muumi book from Jacopo.

✻ a guide about birds from Jacopo.

✻ an illustrated book about domestic animals from Kyllikki and Matti.

✻ an useful pocket guide about finnish natural environment.

✻ a peculiar book of words.
not only these old books have beautiful pictures but they are also a good way for me to learn finnish concerning my favourite topics.
P.S. I am looking for a special book called "Kani Andersson matkustaa" by finnish author Uma Aaltonen - do you know where to find a copy?

  3. "vademecum" is certainly the most useful? and the one with the writings is absolutely sweet. I don't know if it was meant for kids to exercise for a nice handwriting... anyhow it's very peculiar!

  6. gli abecedari sono sempre bellissimi, e questo è proprio speciale, avendo delle illustrazioni cosí fini per rendere elementi cosí concreti .. mi piacerebbe tanto trovarne in tedesco..
