winter garden series.

last week after visiting the Kaisaniemi Botanic Garden - I walked to the Winter Garden following the beautiful path on the side of Töölö Bay. the Winter Garden has another spectacular glass house which was built just a few years after than the one in Kaisaniemi - though I had only found out about it recently with Jacopo.
Winter Garden series:

ilford HP5 - darkroom prints.
despite the fact that the glass house isn't as big as the one in Kaisaniemi - the atmosphere in the Winter Garden is beautifully quiet and the entrance is free: I should go there more often!

  1. Oh my goodness, these photos are the absolute best. Every time I visit your blog Polly, I feel such happiness! You know just how to pick the most beautiful images :) I worked with Ilford darkroom prints many years ago for a photo class, and it was such an interesting process. Too bad I didn't go in that field! The contrast that you get, is really hard to match in any other medium! Perfect xx
