kouvola.

one of my dearest friends has moved to a little town to pursue her studies in restoration and last weekend Jacopo and I finally went to visit her. it takes less than 2 hours to get to Kouvola by train: it is just 134 km northeast of Helsinki.
photographs from Kouvola:

Nikon FM - Fuji Superia 1600.
what I liked the most about Kouvola were the old wooden houses of Museokortteli: they were already decorated with Christmas lights and there was even a little Christmas market going on in the area. Anne took us to have glögi and korvapuustit inside one of the cottages and later on we walked to her place where she cooked us a delicious dinner. we even got the chance to visit Anne's school: the fascinating old brick building - which you can see in the 8th photograph.
it was such a lovely day! thanks so much to Anne for inviting us there! ♥

  5. Wow that lamp in the bike is so cool! Snow seems to be absolutely everywhere in your photos, even when I visit snow lands they usually clean most of it away for cars hehe! It must be so magical :)

    1. I haven't dared to try yet, but some of my friends do and they say it's quite challenging because of the cold - still, you need to have special winter tires not to slip on the ice! ;-)
thank you so much for your lovely comment! :-)
