my italian holiday - teglio.

another sunny day my sister and I decided to meet a couple of friends for lunch to enjoy a local treat: a generous portion of Pizzocheri. they say there is no better place to eat Pizzocheri than Teglio - so that was were we went - and since we were there we really had to stop for a visit of Palazzo Besta. last time I visited the Renaissance palace I was so little I could not fully appreciate the beauty of it!

to tell the truth I was not allowed to take photographs in the courtyard of Palazzo Besta but I could not resist: the second photograph and possibly the third one here are against the law - believe me I still feel bad about taking them and I hope you will not judge me! I will put a legal one on Flickr.

  1. They can be illegal, but it certainly paid off! It's so beautiful! It makes no sense to me why photos aren't allowed in such places, especially considering that nowadays anyone with a smartphone can easily take photos undetected.

  3. i know how you feel, i'm often torn up about the no photo signs in itay. so i'm not judging you, not at all. i'm judging the motivation behind those who do not allows photos in such beautiful places, given that a photo's purpose is to share (culture, beauty, knowledge)

  6. Polly beautiful place! I confess that those triangles painted with different colors caught my attention! is a shame that such things happen ... I mean, in my opinion is to introduce the beautiful and friendly places. I do not see any harm in it.

  7. Honestly I would do the same... hahaha! It's just that sometimes the shutter of a film camera canbe deafening in quietness and I'm always on the brink of being embarrassed!

    1. That is absolutely true! Thankfully there wasn't anyone around when I took those photos, except for my friends!
